Dr. Switaj was born and raised in Kailua, Hawaii, on the island of ‘Oahu. When he was younger, he wanted to be a paleontologist due to his love of dinosaurs. After learning that he wasn’t allowed to keep the fossils for his personal collection, he changed his sights to becoming a veterinarian. After graduating with a bachelor’s degree in Zoology from the University of Hawaii at Manoa, Dr. Switaj moved to Southern California. In 2019, Dr. Switaj graduated with his DVM from Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, California. Dr. Switaj is a proud nerd at heart and spends most of his free time playing video games, reading, and building or painting miniatures. If he’s not lost in a fantasy book, then he typically is out hiking, at the beach, or finding something delicious to eat.

His professional interests include preventative medicine, dermatology, dentistry and helping educate his clients about the field of veterinary medicine. Dr. Switaj strives to make a connection with his clients and his goal is to help guide them on their journey caring for their pets.
